More Frequent Bathroom Breaks
The body of a person who has diabetes is not as efficient in breaking food down into sugar. Because of this, there is always a lot of sugar in the bloodstream and because the body is always flushing the excess sugar out through urine, a diabetic feels the need to go to the bathroom frequently.
Most people who have diabetes are not always aware of how frequently they go to the bathroom, even when asked by a doctor. A great way to determine whether a person's frequency of urination is higher than normal is to check whether it keeps them up at night. Going to the bathroom once or twice is normal but if it interrupts sleep, it is serious enough to look into.
